Hip-Hop Empathy!!!!

Allright, allright......
Finally the day was there...Saturday the 17th. at Hacienda Lounge, probably the hottest spot in whole Toronto that night.
Doors opened at 20:30 and soon it was packed enough to start the event and let the artists do their thing.
I let the pictures speak.......

Toronto's dope!!!

Allright, allright...after seeing yesterdays amazing BIG NORM SHOW at a club in Kensington theres one thing I need to say: "Torontos Hip-Hop scene is DOPE". I felt like being moved back into the 80's. The ultimate street hustlers were performing live on stage, such as MasiaOne, PHATCat, Jorgie Porgie and a beatbox crew called SickSoundSyndrom. The show was hosted by a guy, that calles himself Big Norm, dressed up like Michael Jackson...THAT WAS SICK... With a mixture of rap, beatboxing, breakdancing and stand-up comedian the artists gave their best to show the audience that hip-hop culture is far from being dead.
Peace...

DONATION

Hey guys!!!

Actually Ahmed opened a PayPal Account and you'll be able to donate money from now on, to get the kids in Kibera off the streets and into the classroom. Just click on the little white button, I linked to my blog, that says 'Donation' on the right corner.

SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF!!!

We all were waiting for the day the article about the movie was supposed to be published in the 'EYEOPENER'. But actually seeing ourselves in the magazine was an amazing feeling. To see the Northern Lights and being on a picture in a canadian newspaper after being here for 5 days...that's......it is........it's COOL.

Read the article online and learn more about the project on: http://www.theeyeopener.com/storydetail.cfm?storyid=2053

Toronto-NY-Montreal-Ottawa-Toronto and than back to Berlin City

NEW YORK..........

After hesitating for so long it finally is for sure, I'm definitely going to the city of cities, mother of rap and graffiti...the best place in the whole US...NEW YORK CITY. You should check out Canada Coach, actually I only pay 80 canadian dollars, which is something around 55 euros! I got so excited holding the ticket in my hands...I'm too tired to talk about all this now, as me and Ahmed finished another 4 episodes of 24. So hope you're all fine and enjoying what you're doing right now, just keep on being active, right!!! Peace, Matt

northern lights

allright...how you're doing guys?

After getting up really late on saturday and after having a nice and hot cup of coffee & a donut we got on our way to Ahmeds aunts house where we met Oleg at the Wall Mart. Ahmed, who had to continue promoting hip-hop empathy stayed at his aunts, while me and Oleg got prepared for the Farm Party at Jasons house. It took us something like three hours to buy some vegetables, beer and meat for the bbq, but it was fun to complain about Canada and it's not existing food culture, though. By the time we arrived at the farm it already was 9 in the night, so we basically couldn't do anything else than eating, drinking beer and chilling by the campfire. We had some problems in the night putting together our tent, but the german in me fixed that.

At something around 3 in the night one of the guys, I don't even remember his name, was screaming from the fields that there's some strang thing going on up in the sky, which made us all jump up from our seats and run towards him. AND... SIT DOWN FOR A SECOND...WE couldn't believe it, but we were lucky enough to see amazingly big Northern Lights right there in front of us, flashing upon the horizon at a place that is very very rare for Norther Lights to be visible. Standing there in the fields, watching this amazing game of nature just made me realize once more how small we are and it might sound a bit strange, but it actually really touched my heart and soul to be able to see and experience that.

Next day I got up really early and went for a walk with Jason, that showed me around. We were searching for beaver dams...amazing guys those beavers I swear, haha....

We left the place around noon and I spend the rest of the day at Ahmeds place watching 24, a television serie that almost drives me insaine, because its so exciting and I cant stand it, that most of the time you dont know whats going on...We did that for like 8 hours, don't laugh...

allright I'm outta here

Peace Matt

K' Naan rocks

TORONTO-CITY!!!

Checkt auf jeden Fall Oranienburgerstrasse as well as das Tachels und deren verreuckte Kuenstler.

Peace...Matt

PRAG!!!
